Christopher K. Jarvi Partnership Scholarship Recipients Announced for 2014 - Phase I
The Foundation for Sustainable Parks and Recreation (FSPR) and its Board of Governors are delighted to announce the winners of the 2014 Phase I Christopher K. Jarvi Partnership Scholarship, chosen by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee:
Anthony Martinez- City of Santa Clarita, CA
Mr. Martinez will be attending the California and Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Training Conference
Emily Stevens, CPRP- City of Lansing, MI
Ms. Stevens will be attending Revenue Development and Management School
Lesley Frisbee- McKinleyville (CA) Parks and Recreation
Ms. Frisbee will be attending the California and Pacific Southwest Recreation and Park Training Conference
Sarah O’Donnell, CPRP- Wheaton Park District (IL)
Ms. O’Donnell will be attending the IEG Sponsorship Conference
The Christopher K. Jarvi Partnership Scholarship Program is a program created in honor and memory of the Foundation for Sustainable Parks and Recreation’s recent Board Chair. Chris had always stressed that building partnerships and networking were the most integral part of growing as a professional in our field. Scholarships are awarded twice a year, as park and recreation professionals seek to grow their partnerships through attendance at conferences and events.
