Sustain Our Great Lakes Grants

2015 Request For Proposals from Sustain Our Great Lakes


Sustain Our Great Lakes is soliciting applications for competitive funding to restore and enhance habitat in the Great Lakes basin. Details about this funding opportunity are provided in the Request For Proposals. Additional application information can be viewed at www.sustainourgreatlakes.org. The submission deadline is February 18, 2015.

In 2015, grant funding will be awarded in two categories:

  • Stream and Riparian Restoration
  • Coastal Wetland Restoration

To be eligible for funding, projects must occur within the Great Lakes basin. Eligible applicants include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and state, tribal and local governments.

Approximately $5–7 million is expected to be available for grant awards. Individual awards will range from $25,000 to $1.5 million.

Sustain Our Great Lakes is a bi-national, public-private partnership that sustains, restores and protects fish, wildlife and habitat in the Great Lakes basin by leveraging funding, building conservation capacity, and focusing partners and resources toward key ecological issues.
